In their own skin
2024
Social norms, beauty ideals, and patriarchal structures shape our self-image and body awareness. The project offers insight into the stories of five people who struggle with scars, body dysmorphia, or the search for identity within societal constructs of gender and body image.
The collaborative approach of this work enabled the development of shared narratives, creating a space in which one’s body and personal story become an act of self-empowerment. A moment of reflection and reorientation. These individual experiences are seen as part of a larger, collective narrative, where vulnerability and strength merge.
